Here is just one of our success stories. We look forward to bringing more of our success stories to you soon as we have them ready to post. Please enjoy!

This little schnauzer came in and was super scared and terrified of people. She was from a puppy mill used for breeding.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Miss Déjà Vu Doo (Pronounced: Day-Zhah Vu Du). I am one of the first, if not the first, true success stories from “They Deserve Better.”

Before I met Renee Alexander from “They Deserve Better,” I had a terrible existence. I lived at a puppy farm where I was kept in a cage. I was horribly malnourished, emaciated, and underweight where every bone showed through my skin. I was terrified of people and would run to a corner and shake in fear if anyone ever came near me. The owners of the puppy farm only kept me to breed and had little/no interaction with me. I suffered from severe abuse and neglect. And I didn’t know what it meant to play or run free…let alone be loved.

Having met Renee from “They Deserve Better,” my entire life changed for the better! She rescued me from that atrocious existence and certain death, as I was soon scheduled to be put to sleep.

She took me to a veterinarian who provided me with the medical treatment that I so desperately needed. And I received the food, care, and attention that I urgently required. Within a short amount of time, I was on my way to health and happiness. But I was missing one thing…a family. Again, Renee and “They Deserve Better” came to my rescue. She introduced me to my new family who eagerly adopted me.

Today, I live in Fairmont WV, where I have the stability, care, and love that I have always deserved. I have a brother and sisters, as well as two daddies who give me everything a dog could ever want. We live in a big house where I have a large fenced-in back yard for me to run, play, and have the freedom that I always needed. I have a family veterinarian who provides me with scheduled and consistent care. And I have gained weight and become truly healthy for once in my life.

Besides all that, my family spoils me rotten. I have fluffy beds in which to sleep, all the toys you can imagine, collars and matching leashes to take my walks in the neighborhood, trips to the “beauty parlor” to get my hair/nails done, and tons of treats for when I’m extra good.

My family and I are eternally grateful for everything that Renee has done for me! Without her help, I’m sure that I could not have survived; she rescued me from certain death.

Unfortunately, many other dogs are still out there who are abused, neglected, and chained without any care or love. Won’t you please help them? Won’t you please donate to “They Deserve Better” so that Renee can help turn their lives into success stories too?
