In Memory of Hope

  With us from 10/2009 - 12/2010

Above: Princess Hope (a.k.a "Bones") was taken from a kill-shelter   October 2,2009 weighing in at 17 lbs.  She stayed at the vets for a week. She became a diabetic and permanently blind from it due to the neglect/abuse.  She healed and went up to 38 lbs. by July of 2010.  Hope lived out her life with her foster mom. In December of 2010, her foster mom and friends had to say goodbye as her organs shut down. Hope had a bad beginning but at least she had a wonderful year being the princess. We love and miss her dearly.

Anyone can buy a dog or puppy from the local pet shop or from a "breeder" found in the newspaper. You get this dog with health guarantees and promises that it is perfect. Not always the truth. No dog can have health guarantees as no one can predict the future.

We'd like to say "Thank You" to all of you who are trying to find and adopt a rescue dog. It's not the easiest route but can be a most satisfying choice. These dogs tend to be the most loyal and devoted additions to their new families.
